Recommend! Which countries can shops open on Sunday in Europe no.2? (English)

If you did not read "Recommend! Which countries can shops open on Sunday in Europe? (English)" , please read it before this bolg due to relating the topic.

Last time I mentioned the countryies which the European Union admits Sunday shoping  or mainly  do not have any regulation for Sunday shopping.

Actually there are some countries that the European Union admits some exceptions or some countries do not approve basially but some shops can open  sprecial day on Sunday.

I will introduce the exception which contries can open shops on Sunday as far as I know.

Country permitted only for sightseeing districts

     <Belgium>
Legally Shops are  a day off on Sunday if shops do not have other days off for regular holiday. However, Sunday shoping before Christmas and two other days are allowed as exceptions.Furthermore, supermarkets etc.are allowed to open for 3 days in addition to the above 2 days.

In addition, tourist spots are permitted to open from May 1st to September 30th , Christmas and Easter plus up to 13 Sundays per  a year.

In some areas such as Brussels, It was decided that Sunday's shopping is the first Sunday of the month.

 <France>

Sunday shopping is generally not permitted.

However, cities declared as tourist cities including major cities such as Paris, Marseille, certain areas of Lille and local governments Le Havre, Vannes and Bordeaux can be opened on Sundays.

Under the revision of the law in 2015, clothing shops such as at Champs Elysées in Paris, La Défense, Downtown Marseille, Downtown Cannes, Downtown Nice etc. can be held every Sunday also.

Under the new law, it seems that 24-hour business was allowed in some districts such as Paris, and it was also possible to open shops on Sundays up to 12 days from 9 days even outside the tourist area.

Also, on Sunday in December before Christmas, major stores nationwide are open and supermarkets also open every Sunday until 1 p.m.

Now, if you are in neighboring countries in France, shopping in France is fashionable!

     <Spain>

Legally opening shops on Sundays from 10 o'clock to 16 o'clock is allowed by the district .However, Sundays before Christmas and two other days are allowed as exceptions.I

Furthermore, supermarkets and others are allowed to open 3 days in addition to the above 2 days.

 At the moment, each municipality can create its own Sunday calendar.

The general trend is one Sunday per month (usually the first Sunday) during a special shopping season including Christmas and sales.

 Certain fields ( such as Bar, restaurant, bakery, pharmacy, pretty big Convenience stores, small family-owned stores, book stores, etc.) are exceptional and may open shops unlimitedly on Sundays.

Shops in towns and areas declared as touristic are allowed to open every Sunday and also Shopping malls and hypermarkets in these areas usually stay open every Sunday.

 Although the tourist city is open shops on Sunday, I would like to recommend you to check properly before you go as there are some exception such as Christmas and others.

Probably I think you unsderstand a little you can go shopping on Sunday in Europe.

There used to be not so much shops to open on Sunday , but now there are plenty of places to go such as tourist cities, so you can enjoy it a lot.

I hope to have a weekend in France next time.

Next time I am thinking to introduce the country where the shop is open only on a specific day.

Thank you veru much for reading my blog to the end.
